Gentleman performed at the highest sport level under Yves Houtackers and Rob Ehrens. Apart from his outstanding career in showjumping he owes his fame to his achievements as a sire, resulting in the KWPN promoting him to keur stallion. Several of his offspring have been performing at Grand Prix level, such as Kid-Gentleman (Yves Houtackers), Lutopia (Molly Ashe), Loretta (Peter Geerink), full sisters Lesandra (Sayre Happy) and Mesandra (Karim El Zoghby) and Maykel (Rudi Helsen). Gentleman offspring Ups-a-Daisy made a name for herself at the Lanaken World Championships, was successful under Mischa Everse and Doron Kuipers and later on the American Todd Minikus.
