Again a nice result for a former Borculo Elite Auction foal! The now three years old King de Niro (s. De Niro) convincingly completed the 70 days KWPN Performance Test and deserved his approval. The dark eyecatcher was rewarded with high points on his list, among others the dream figure 9 for his canter and the rideability and mentality and also a 8.5 for his talent as dressage horse. In total he scored 82,5 points.
Earlier this year several ‘Borculo foals’ of the K-year already convinced at the KWPN Stallion Show, bringing the number of stallions that were invited for the performance test to six. Among them the dressage champion Kremlin MD (s. Governor). He already has been approved in Denmark and with King de Niro we already have two approved stallions now, with probably even more to come in Fall.
Beautiful tribute
King de Niro has been bred by Tineke Huizing out of the elite mare Grandinosa. She a daughter of Ampère, who also has been auctioned before in Borculo. The approval of King de Niro is a beautiful tribute to his breeder who sadly passed away two years ago. Her heritage is now in the capable hands of her husband Albert van Dijk. Last year he introduced the fantastic filly Mynosa (s. Daily Diamond) into the Borculo Auction. Like King de Niro she is out of the dam line of the great Havidoff daughter Spinosa. She was sold for 30.000 euro.
King de Niro himself was bought in 2015 by South African Marius Calitz. Nowadays he still is the owner of the brand new KWPN stallion and he shares his ownership with the Dutch Poppelaars Stables in Heusden. King de Niro stands at stud at Studfarm Lauw van Vliet.
