Haar vader Furore komt uit de Loma-stam en zelf is ze een telg uit de diepgewortelde Karla-stam, evenals de topspringpaarden Mr.Blue, Cody, Just an Illusion en Zucarlos. Darla gaf het ZZ-licht dressuurpaard Lucarlos en de Prix St.Georges geklasseerde Marcos. De KWPN-hengst Nabuur en het internationale springpaard Lancelot zijn halfbroers van Darla.
