Gerland was het beste springveulen op de CK in Dronten. Net als tijdens de selectie voor de veiling overtuigde hij de jury met zijn goede model, veel ras en bijzonder goede draf zijn fantastisch gedragen en atletische galop. Hij is geweldig gefokt (Holsteiner stam 223b) met een perfecte aanparing met Corland, Goodtimes en Capitol I. Cor de la Bryère zien we drie keer in zijn pedigree. En dat staat garant voor snelle reflexen en een hele goede beentechniek. Corland’s kinderen doen het net als hun vader geweldig in de sport. Grootmoeder Glenmore bracht drie internationale springpaarden en is de halfzus van Jasmin (v.Corofino), wereldkampioen 7-jarigen in Lanaken 2001.
